Become a Trustee
We’re Mind Aberystwyth, the mental health and wellbeing charity serving the people of Aberystwyth and Ceredigion.
We are recruiting to a number of voluntary positions to join our amazing Board of Trustees and to share in our continuing success.
“For anyone who is passionate about the work that Mind Aberystwyth does, like myself, I would highly recommend considering a role as trustee. It can be a great way to get an insight into the management of a charity, everyone has been really supportive, and it feels great to be involved.” Sally Bathurst, Trustee
We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.

Lived experience / Digital / Public relations / Experience of support service delivery / Finance / Legal / Human Resources / Influencing / Charity governance / Fundraising and income generation
As a trustee you will have
- Induction, training and reimbursable expenses
- Opportunities to make strategic decisions and learn new skills
- Opportunities to network with senior professionals
- Influence to shape charity development and service provision
- The opportunity to improve health and wellbeing for your local community
The expected time commitment is 6 Board meetings per year (usually Tuesdays 4 to 6pm in Aberystwyth or online), ad hoc committee work, and events for staff and trustees to work together on opportunities that arise from time to time.
