Wednesday Drop-in

(At Arad Goch, Bath Street, Aberystwyth)

Meeting between 2.00 and 4.00pm this group is open to all. It is a safe and open environment, where individuals can connect with others, build friendships, gain access to signposting and support, and receive advice on engagement with mental health services.  Limited number of one to one appointments are available for pre booking by telephoning 01970 626225, writing to info@mindaberystwyth.org or messaging the Facebook page.

Wellbeing Support

We offer one to one support for individuals who feel they need someone to talk to.  Our Wellbeing Support offers individuals 8 sessions and specifically focuses on helping people to tackle feelings of isolation, manage their mental health, and improve their general wellbeing.   This service is delivered via telephone and video chat. An initial face to face meeting is available to meet your Support Worker.

Wellbeing Support may also involve signposting people to specialist services, as well as supporting them to engage with their local community and/or access opportunities for learning and development. 

Referrals are accepted from professionals and individuals.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga

Trauma Sensitive Yoga with Meriel Goss is an evidence-based adjunctive intervention for women aged 18+, proven to be therapeutic and complementary to existing therapy.

The 8-week course will offer individuals a choice about how they move, and an invitation into sensory healing with a trained facilitator who understands subjects such as fear, panic attacks, numbing and dissociation.

Sessions will be held on Thursdays, 12.30 pm to 13.30 pm at Be You Yoga Studio, Unit 21, Canolfan Teifi, Pendre, Cardigan, Ceredigion, SA43 1JL.

The course will run from the 29th of September to the 24th of November. *Please note that there will be no session on the 3rd of November as the course will pause for a break.

Craft Club

(At Arad Goch, Bath Street, Aberystwyth)

Craft Club is a gender specific group, for women to learn, develop, and share their crafting skills, make friends, and access peer support.  We welcome those who are experts, beginners, or those who just want to have a cuppa and a chat. Activities include knitting, sewing, felting, cross stitch etc. This course takes place on Wednesdays at 10 am -12 pm. Sessions will be running from the 6th of July to the 10th of August. After a two week break, sessions will continue on from the 3st of August to the 5th of October.

Art Group

(At Arad Goch, Bath Street, Aberystwyth)

The Art Group welcomes individuals of all abilities to create and work in a peaceful and friendly environment.  It meets on Tuesdays at Arad Goch, Bath Street, Aberystwyth and is open to self and professional referrals. There will be both a morning Art group and an afternoon group.

Morning Art group will be held on Tuesdays from 10am – 12pm and will run from the 6th of July to the 12th of August. Afternoon Art group will be held on Tuesdays from 1pm – 3pm and will run from the 28th of June to the 16th of August.

Creative Hub

(At Arad Goch, Bath Street, Aberystwyth)

Creative Hub is an arts based group co-presented by Adult Learning Wales. Courses generally run for 8 weeks and build credits which can be used to attain Agored Cymru qualifications. Courses include painting, figure drawing, textiles, mark-making, and mixed media. Creative Hub meets on Thursdays, 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30 to 4.00pm, open to self or professional referral.
