Support Worker Roles
Mind Aberystwyth is looking to employ Support Workers to deliver our Tenancy and Wellbeing Support Services. Our Tenancy Support service focuses on empowering people living in North Ceredigion who are experiencing Mental Health distress to live independently in their own homes. Support Workers will deliver at our centre in Aberystwyth, over the phone and in people’s homes.
Our Wellbeing Support service focuses on empowering individuals living in Ceredigion to manage and maintain their Mental Health. Support Workers will deliver at our centre and virtually, which may include phone, video call, and messaging.

Art and creative expression is helpful to healthy human development and recovery from mental distress. Our art group welcomes individuals of mixed ability to create work in a peaceful and friendly environment.
Creative Hub is an arts-based group run by Adult Learning Wales that enables service users to gain creative qualifications in an accessible and supportive environment.
Connecting with nature can have lots of positive health benefits (both mentally and physically). Our walking group aims to create a healthy and active atmosphere to improve physical, mental and social wellbeing through walks and rambles around Aberystwyth.
Mind Aberystwyth could not realise its mission without volunteers. Volunteers play an integral part in the success of our service delivery and impact on the lives of our service users.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1) To provide a presence among service users.
2) Meeting & greeting.
3) Providing relevant information to newcomers.
4) Maintaining a positive and welcoming environment.
5) Monitoring conversation and interaction between service users.
6) Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and organised environment.
7) Serving refreshments.
8) Provide company to service users. If any service user is looking lost or alone, please make it your business to speak to them or pass it on to a member of staff
