Mental Health Crisis Support

Call your General Practitioner, Call 999 or go to your nearest accident and emergency

For 24/7 mental health support contact the Samaritans on 116 123 or NHS CALL 0800 132 737. 

For mental health advice or concerns for yourself or a loved one, Call NHS on 111 and choose Option 2 to speak to a dedicated team member. This service is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Wellbeing Support

Area 43: Offers a fully professional and confidential free counselling service for 16-30 year olds

Supported Self Help: Supported Self Help is a free, six-week guided self-help programme to help individuals feel more in control of their emotions. The service provides individuals with all the tips and tools needed to understand themselves better, and support them through the course with regular phone calls. Take a look at the Mind Cymru website to make a referral.

The Samaritans: Samaritans is a unique charity dedicated to reducing feelings of isolation and disconnection that can lead to suicide. The service that operates 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Call 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org

IAWN – NHS Mental Health Service Support information: The Local Mental Health Support Services within Hywel Dda Health Board have information available on their webpages about local support whilst displaying a range of evidence-based self-help literature on a range of topics including Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, OCD, Eating Disorders, Self-Harm, Self-Esteem, Sleep.
