“Hi, I’m Sally Bathurst, newly appointed Trustee at Mind Aberystwyth.
Full time, I work as an Area Manager for an all-Wales charity supporting children and adults with a learning disability. I have been in this line of work for over 10 years.
I have always been a passionate advocate for wellbeing, so joining Mind Aberystwyth has been an honour. The organisations objectives mean a lot to me personally and I look forward to getting more involved.
Being a trustee means I get to support the charity to achieve their goals in making a positive difference in relation to mental wellbeing and tackling stigma. I get to contribute my skills and expertise to something that I feel strongly about whilst at the same time gaining valuable knowledge and experience in a new leadership role.
For anyone who is passionate about the work that Mind Aberystwyth does I would highly recommend considering a role as Trustee. It can be a great way to get an insight into the management of a charity.
