The team from Mind Aberystwyth is holding a Side by Side Cymru peer support networking event in Cardigan on Wednesday the 20th of March.
Peer support is when people use their own experiences to help each other. This can be through a group, one to one or online and may involve activities such as crafts, walking or meeting for coffee.
If you are part of an organisation or community group in Ceredigion or Pembrokeshire that offers peer support, or are thinking about starting a group, Side by Side Cymru may be able to help. We offer networking events, free shared learning workshops and the opportunity to apply for up to £250 in grant funding.
The networking event will take place on Wednesday the 20th of March from 3.00 to 5.00pm in the Radley Room at the Guildhall, Cardigan, SA43 1JL.
Featured will be a presentation on what Side by Side Cymru is all about, a question and answer session on what peer support is and how to set up a group and how to maintain it. There will also be the chance to promote existing groups, to find out more about becoming a member of the peer support network and how to apply for funding.
Reserve your place, or find out more information, by contacting the Project Worker on firstname.lastname@example.org and 07958788172.
