SIDE BY SIDE CYMRU BLOG – WEEK COMMENCING 2nd NOVEMBER 2020

This week we’re reporting on the latest of our online peer support workshops and an extension to the Gobaith peer support funding opportunity.

Peer Support workshops continue to be in demand

Mind Aberystwyth has completed the first 2 peer support workshops scheduled for this month and feedback has been received from the participants.

“Just would like to say again how much I gained from yesterday’s training and how it will support me in my role in the future.”

“Many thanks for delivering the session.  I personally found it informative, well structured and very much enjoyed it”.

Each event was 2 to 3 hours and was delivered through Zoom video conferencing at the time that suited the participants.  Topics included what peer support is (and what it is not), the skills and personal qualities for peer to peer, boundaries, self-care and signposting.    If you are interested in booking a peer support event for your community group please write to rob@mindaberystwyth.org.  Bookings now being taken for January and February.
