OPERATIONS MANAGER

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the charity’s services and projects areas of work.  The postholder will take responsibility for safeguarding, quality assurance and volunteering. This post forms part of the management team at the charity and therefore will be expected to carry out management duties across the team.  This post will also take a lead in the development of the external training functions of the charity.

PEER SUPPORT PROJECT MANAGER

This role will deliver a time limited project to work closely with partner agencies in the local area to embed peer support approaches in their organisations. This will entail supporting organisations to recruit peer allies in their organisation and providing training as appropriate.

Volunteer

Mind Aberystwyth is looking to recruit volunteers to assist in the delivery of our activity and wellbeing services.

Art and creative expression is helpful to healthy human development and recovery from mental distress. Our art group welcomes individuals of mixed ability to create work in a peaceful and friendly environment.
 
Creative Hub is an arts-based group run by Adult Learning Wales that enables service users to gain creative qualifications in an accessible and supportive environment.
 
Connecting with nature can have lots of positive health benefits (both mentally and physically). Our walking group aims to create a healthy and active atmosphere to improve physical, mental and social wellbeing through walks and rambles around Aberystwyth.  
 
Mind Aberystwyth could not realise its mission without volunteers. Volunteers play an integral part in the success of our service delivery and impact on the lives of our service users.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1) To provide a presence among service users.
2) Meeting & greeting.
3) Providing relevant information to newcomers.
4) Maintaining a positive and welcoming environment.
5) Monitoring conversation and interaction between service users.
6) Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and organised environment.
7) Serving refreshments.
8) Provide company to service users. If any service user is looking lost or alone, please make it your business to speak to them or pass it on to a member of staff
9) To maintain confidentiality
