We are building our training offer at Mind Aberystwyth. See below for what we currently offer
This is a programme of training courses aimed at reducing stigma, promoting wellbeing and improving mental health support for those working or volunteering in the ambulance, fire, police, coast, cave and mountain and search and rescue services.
This course is suitable for unpaid community leaders and voluntary groups in Ceredigion who have an interest in raising their awareness of mental health issues.
Online and face to face workshops where participants share their skills and knowledge, learn from each other and celebrate the benefits of peer support in the community. Topics include what peer support is (and what it is not), an exploration of skills, knowledge and abilities, how to set up and run a community group, and dealing with challenges.
Every participant receives a certificate of attendance and each group receives a copy of Mind’s Developing Peer Support in the Community Toolkit.
Please contact the Project Worker at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in finding out more.
